Description: We are looking for a Gaffer for our production company's first feature film, entitled "Director's Cut". It is the story of Cassie Thompson, a film school dropout who decides to gather her friends together and make a horror movie. Our film chronicles her misadventures as she tries to get her movie made. The genre is comedy, and production is slated to begin on April 29th, 2010. We will also be filming for two days in late February, on the weekend of the 20th, for our winter shots. We do not require that you have any previous professional experience in the film industry. All crew members will be remunerated in full for food and travel expenses during the shoot. Refreshments will be provided daily to both cast and crew members. If you do not have access to a car, we will arrange to pick you up and bring you to the set. We prefer locals in Queens and/or Manhattan, but please feel free to apply if you are anywhere in the greater New York/New Jersey area.
